FeileAfrica was formed at the end of 2002 as a project to inject new life and cultural diversity into the Cork music scene, to give an Irish perspective on African culture and an African perspective on Irish culture. We have since produced many shows around the whole of Ireland.

In the past 5 years we have featured artists from all over the world and playing many styles of music, many visiting Ireland for the very first time. Those acts include:

FeileAfrica is the only movement in Ireland to have such a dedicated regular program of Music from The African Diaspora touring the whole of Ireland (both sides of the border) throughout the year and featuring such a wide range of  musical styles, from the hardcore dancehall rhythms and Dakar Rap of Daara J to the cool jazzy sophistication of Virginia Rodrigues.
